Hiya!
Hi! I'm Ann-Sophie De Steur, also known as Doodle Mitzy — a Belgian illustrator, graphic designer, and art director with a flair for all things futurist. Whether it’s retrofuturism, cassette futurism, or whatever comes next, I love crafting visual worlds that blend nostalgia and playful retro vibes.
My passion for storytelling and culture led me to pursue a Master’s degree in History, before ultimately following my creative instincts into the visual arts. I then completed an Academic Bachelor in Visual Arts with a focus on illustration (and comics), which laid the foundation for my career as an illustrator and designer.
I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, collaborating with publishers, agencies, and entertainment brands around the world. My client list includes Wizard of the Coast, Mercedes-Benz, Playboy.com, Savvas Learning Company, and Politico Studio, among others.
After several years designing at StoryMe and freelancing for names like Uitgeverij Lannoo and Roularta Media Group, I’ve been operating as a full-time independent designer since 2019 — blending illustration, branding, and editorial design.
I work primarily with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Indesign. I’m also highly comfortable with office and presentation tools like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Figma and Outlook. My strengths lie in visual storytelling, layout design, and adapting seamlessly across both digital and print media.
I love working on projects that push creativity and cross boundaries — from editorial illustration and branding to sci-fi concept art and beyond. My work lives on Behance, Instagram, and in a multitude of loose papers strewn around my desk.
Have a peek and let’s create something out of this world.
